The Hillcat baseball team is currently on a six-game winning streak to open the season. Some of the keys to our early success has been great pitching and timely hitting. Our team era is an impressive 1.29 while our team ba is .308. Colton Campbell says "the team is really seeing the ball well from a hitters standpoint as well as putting together strings of good at-bats therefore making the pitcher have to throw alot of pitches which is helping out during the later innings of the games". We are currently 6-0 as we head into the weekend where we will be in Dallas on a four-game road trip playing against Dallas Christain and Tabor College. Thank you all for the support and continue to follow the Hillcats throughout the season.

The long wait is just about over for the Hillcat baseball team. We leave for Grand Prairie, Texas on thursday afternoon where we will be playing a double-header friday and a double-header saturaday against Arlington Baptist University. We don't know much about Arlington Baptist but we do know that we are ready to play against someone other than our own team. Our team has had a great past couple weeks; showing great improvement in all areas of the game. We look forward to a very fun, exciting, and successful roadtrip this week.

This week the Hillcat baseball team has been scrimmaging and we have looked very good considering the long lay off from Christmas break. The pitchers are throwing strikes and the defense looks pretty sharp. Even though our guys haven't had many at bats so far, they are getting better everyday and becoming tougher outs everyday. Our hitters having to face a great pitching staff like ours will help our hitters throughout the season because they will not face any pitching staff this year as good or as deep as our own staff. We cannot wait for the season opener to get here but we still have a lot of work to do before then.

After a long Christmas break, the Hillcats are back on the field. We are welcoming four new faces to our team this semester after losing a few players this fall. The baseball season is right around the corner so we are working hard to get everyone back into shape and helping to get the new players accustomed to our style of the game. All of the players are excited to get the season started and see if we can add to all of our successes from last season and hopefully go onto a World Series this year. We head south for warmer weather and for the first games of the season on February 3rd in Grand Prairie, Texas against Arlington Baptist.
